Automotive Title Clerk Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Automotive Title Clerk. This role is crucial in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vehicle titles, registrations, and related documentation, facilitating smooth vehicle transactions for our customers. Key Responsibilities * Title and Registration Processing:Prepare and submit all necessary documents to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for vehicle titles and registrations. * Document Verification:Examine contracts and vehicle information to ensure conformity with state and federal requirements. * Record Maintenance:Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all title and registration transactions. * Customer Interaction:Communicate with customers regarding title and registration inquiries, providing exceptional service and resolving any issues promptly. * Compliance Adherence:Stay informed about and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to vehicle titles and registrations. * Collaboration:Work closely with the sales and finance departments to gather necessary information and ensure smooth title processing. * Additional Duties:Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by management. Qualifications * Experience:Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within an automotive dealership or related environment is a plus but not required. * Education:High school diploma or equivalent * Skills: * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. * Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Attention to detail and accuracy. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Certifications:Notary Public certification is a plus.
